clutch party...

I've been teasing you for two weeks that I was "about to come out with a clutch-related surprise". Sometimes I get excited and announce things to quickly... oops. But, to reward for your patience, I'm not only giving you ONE clutch related surprise today, I'm giving you TWO. WHAT?! YES.

1. THE TRAVEL CLUTCH

There's a new face in the shop-- the travel clutch!

This mini-clutch is a great companion to your backpack, diaper bag, briefcase, messenger bag, or carry on - just stick a few essentials in your travel clutch, put it in your bag, and go! Or just carry this little guy solo to add a pop of color and style to your day!

There's a sewn in mirror and a credit card pocket, so it's a wallet-and-purse-essentials catch all that can travel with you wherever you go. Plus, after Etsy Denton (and probably Christmas...), I'm going to make some cute little mix and match bridesmaid sets with these suckers. I'm excited.

2. THE CLUTCH OF THE MONTH CLUB

As the holiday shopping buzz approaches, I've created a clutch of the month club-- great for spoiling yourself or gifting to a friend.

Right now there are only four and six month options available in the shop, but I'll be adding nine and twelve month options soon. Looking for a different quantity to match a certain price point? Let me know and I'll make it happen :)

holy ombre...

Gradient.
Varigated.
Analogous.
Or, if you've spent more than half a second on Pinterest, Ombre.

I'm not sure where the new catch word for colors shifting in shade, hue, or tone came from, but I'm totally embracing it whole-heartedly. And so are my bridesmaid clutches.

Gray Ombre Bridesmaid Clutches

Purple Ombre Bridesmaid Clutches

Green Ombre Bridesmaid Clutches

Blue Ombre Bridesmaid Clutches

And so is this happy little treasury I made! Yay for lazy Saturdays and noodling on Etsy to create treasuries :)

new things for falltime...

Man, I've been bad at blogging lately.

Etsy Denton Handmade Harvest planning is in full swing-- both for the planning of the event itself, as well as tackling the 100+ bags I counted out today as things I would like to have prepared for the show. Oh my stars.

I've also been busy adjusting to having Nikki here twice a week, assisting me in the studio. She's totally awesome and gets so much amazing work done. It's definitely been a shift from my normal work flow, and I'm still trying to get settled in. But as soon as I get settled into a groove, I'll decide I'm bored and need to change up my routine. Le sigh.

But because of Nikki's super high-powered productivity, I've had plenty of time to catch up with the shop and restock, particularly in the Satchel and Hobo departments.

If you didn't go to the shop over the weekend, you'd better go check it out. Tons of new awesomeness, just in time for Fall.

Loves and Hugs,
Rachel Elise

P.S. I'm waiting on some supplies to come in before I can create and unveil my new clutch-related surprise, but stay tuned :)

cute with clutches...

Since launching my bridesmaids clutches in April of this year, it's become a pretty big part of my business. It varies, but I make about 25-40 clutches a week to keep up with these orders. I've loved getting to work with the lovely ladies that have chosen my shop to a be a part of their wedding day!

Last night, one of these ladies sent me the following photos:

First of all, how gorgeous is the bride? AND all her girls? And how cute are they in their mix+match dresses and burlap clutches! Love it!

Thanks Christina!

Also, if you're a clutch fan, whether it's for your bridesmaid or for yourself, there's a fun little clutchie surprise coming to the shop next week!

fabulooooouuuussss...

Ghetto fabulous is not a phrase I would normally use to describe my work. However, the latest addition to the Rachel Elise Etsy shop has me scratching the ol' noggin a bit.

This fabric is... shall we say... "off the chain".

A combination of two layers-- vinyl and mesh-- make this material awesome and awful and then awesome again. Best or worst fabric ever? I can't decide.

My friend Rachel was with me when I bought this fabric. I was on the awesome/awful fence about it and she said, "I don't know what you would use it for besides an entire clutch", to which I replied, "Me either. But I kind of want one." "Yeah, me too."

Sold.

yokie yokes...

Friends, I must apologize.
For a I have done a terrible thing.

I neglected the Yoke Tote section of the shop.

Yoke Totes had a stellar sales record during the spring craft show season,
but then they weren't selling super well for a couple of months.
And then I got busy.
And then I sold a few.
And then there were only three in stock.

That's just not right.
So this week, I made three more.

This little guy is already in the shop.
Doesn't he make you the most excited for fall?

And these two newbies:

will be showing up tonight or tomorrow.

There. All is right in the world.

Loves and Hugs,

Rachel Elise
